The HD-MD4X1-4KZ-E is a 4K60 4:4:4 HDR AV switcher that provides a cost-effective solution for professional AV applications. Equipped with four HDMI\u00ae inputs and one HDMI output, the model includes features such as automatic switching of inputs, EDID management, HDCP 2.3 compliance, enterprise-grade security, and XiO Cloud\u00ae service support.<\/p>\n

4K60 4:4:4 and HDR Support<\/strong><\/h4>\n

The HD-MD4X1-4KZ-E supports video resolutions up to 4K60 with 4:4:4 color sampling. HDR10, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision\u00ae video formats are also supported.<\/p>\n

Automatic Switching of Inputs<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Automatic switching among the HDMI inputs can occur based on the last connected input or the routing priority assigned to each input.<\/p>\n

Switching behavior is configurable using the web interface or the XiO Cloud\u00ae service and is programmable using a Crestron control system. In addition, input selection push buttons on the front panel of the HD-MD4X1-4KZ-E enable the desired inputs to be selected manually.<\/p>\n

EDID Management<\/strong><\/h4>\n

The HD-MD4X1-4KZ-E provides comprehensive management of EDID to ensure that every source is displayed at the optimal resolution and format. For applications requiring a custom configuration, the HD-MD4X1-4KZ-E enables the assessment of the format and resolution capabilities of any device connected to the switcher’s HDMI output. The model provides the ability to configure signals appropriately for the most desirable and predictable behavior.<\/p>\n

Device Control via CEC<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Under the management of a control system, CEC over the HDMI connections can control the source and display devices, potentially eliminating the need for dedicated serial cables or IR emitters. CEC over the HDMI output can also enable the display device to be turned on or off automatically without the use of a control system.<\/p>\n

Enterprise-Grade Security<\/strong><\/h4>\n

The HD-MD4X1-4KZ-E includes advanced security features and protocols. Using 802.1X authentication, Active Directory\u00ae credential management, PKI authentication, TLS, SSH, and HTTPS, the model provides a true enterprise-grade AV switcher.<\/p>\n

The HD-MD4X1-4KZ-E is compatible with the XiO Cloud service, which is an IoT platform for remotely provisioning, monitoring, and managing Crestron devices across an enterprise or an entire client base. Built on the Microsoft\u00ae Azure\u00ae software platform and using industry-leading Azure IoT Hub technology, the XiO Cloud service enables installers and IT managers to deploy and manage thousands of devices in the amount of time it previously took to manage a single device. Unlike other virtual machine-based cloud solutions, Azure services provide unlimited scalability to suit the ever-growing needs of an enterprise.<\/p>\n
